Smart Protest provides property tax protest services and proprietary evidence-packet reports for property owners in Texas. The information on this website, in our marketing emails, and in any savings estimates we share before a hearing is provided for general informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of any specific outcome.

Savings estimates

Any savings figure, range, or percentage we share — whether on this website, in a confirmation email, in a flyer, or in a hearing brief — is an estimate based on typical outcomes for Texas homeowners with similar property characteristics. Estimates are not a quote, an offer, or a binding commitment. Your actual reduction depends on your county appraisal record, the comparable sales available in your neighborhood, the strength of evidence we are able to assemble, and the final decision of the Appraisal Review Board (ARB).

Individual results may vary

Individual results may vary. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Statements about average savings, success rates, or testimonials reflect outcomes that are typical for some homeowners — they do not predict the result you will achieve.

Our value-protection promise

On the Agency Protest Only and Full Bundle plans, you pay nothing on the contingency portion if we do not reduce your overall tax burden. We further commit that on those plans your appraised value will not increase as a result of our protest, or we will pay you the difference of any increase in overall tax burden. This promise applies only to the plans listed; the Analysis Packet Only plan is a one-time data product and is non-refundable because the proprietary report is delivered regardless of outcome.

Not legal, tax, or financial advice

Nothing on this website or in any communication from Smart Protest constitutes legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Property-tax outcomes can have downstream tax, insurance, and lender implications that are unique to you. For advice tailored to your situation, please consult a licensed attorney, CPA, or financial advisor.

Texas-specific notice

Smart Protest services are currently available only for properties located in Texas. Filing windows, ARB procedures, and exemption eligibility are governed by Texas Property Tax Code. We file on your behalf as your authorized agent under Form 50-162; you may revoke that authorization at any time in writing.
